Auditions

Auditions for main bill productions presented by Centrepoint Theatre are by invitation, although we do acknowledge expressions of interest and performance resumés from professional artists. We will contact actors through their agent, or directly if they are self-represented.

Auditions for Basement Company, our youth theatre training programme for ages 16 to 21, are conducted at the beginning of each year. Audition registrations for our 2018 are open now. Click here to register.

FRONT OF HOUSE: BOX OFFICE/HOST

We are looking for motivated, outgoing and friendly people to join our front of house team. If you are looking for a fun and rewarding part-time job that puts your customer service skills to the test, we want to hear from you!

Successful applicants will:

  • be tidy and well-presented
  • have excellent customer service skills
  • be able to use your initiative and learn quickly
  • above all, be a team player with a can-do attitude

As front of house staff, it's your job to ensure that theatre patrons get their money's worth from the minute they step in the door. You are the smiling and helpful "face" of the theatre! The primary role we are looking to fill is host/usher but there may be opportunities to train in box office along the line.

Successful applicants will be expected to work between 1 and 3 shifts (on average 4 hours per shift) per week, during performance seasons.

FRONT OF HOUSE: BARTENDER

We are a professional theatre looking for motivated, outgoing and friendly people to staff our front of house bar. If you are looking for a fun and rewarding part-time job that puts your customer service skills to the test, we want to hear from you!

Successful applicants will:

  • be tidy and well-presented
  • preferably hold a current general manager's certificate
  • have excellent customer service skills
  • use your initiative
  • above all, be a team player with a can-do attitude

As the bar manager, it's your job to ensure that the bar runs smoothly, and ensure that theatre patrons using the bar facilities have a fantastic experience.

Successful applicants will be expected to work between 1 and 3 shifts (on average 4 hours per shift) per week, during performance seasons.
